We are dedicated to upholding democratic principles and fostering peace and development in Africa through the use of technology. Founded on the premise that peace is crucial for social cohesion and the socio-economic development of African states, our focus is particularly on empowerment of Africa's youth, who constitute over 60% of the continent's population to address information disorder and hate speech threatening democratic principles. We employ content creation and digital platforms to disseminate information and provide tailored solutions to Africa's youth.
Our goal is to empower them as peace ambassadors, enabling them to combat information disorder, address climate disinformation, contribute to and enhance their communities, and develop their advocacy skills. Tech4Peace Africa started as a video series in January 2023 and has since evolved into a registered non-profit organization in Kenya, operating under the framework of the Companies Act, 2015. Our commitment is to empower young people to uphold democratic principles, promote peace, address climate disinformation, and contribute to the sustainable development of African nations.
